paul hawken sees that it’s about people and the environment.
i was checking out the podcasts on kexp, which i like to do from time to time since their sustainability segments by diane horn are often extremely interesting, and saw that paul hawken was recently on the show.
without going into his renown, let me just say that you should check out the program … it’s not too long, and his synopsis of the sustainability movement is refreshing and optimistic.
the short of it would be: there has never been another social movement in the history of humankind like the sustainability movement, and we are currently living through its most dynamic stage; this movement is not separate from society, or fringe, but indeed a manifestation of the desires of many societies to have their perspectives heard in systems that have been systematically ignoring them; there are millions of organizations in the world fighting issues directly related to sustainability …
the long of the story is even better, so check it out!
night, c.
